Meet FBC Parkstreet Church
Our first customer spotlight features the First Baptist Church of Charlottesville on Park Street, Virginia in the US. FBC Park Street regularly works with us to source music for their videos, so I spoke with Daniel Chambers who coordinates media production there to tell us a bit about their set up!
Tell me a bit about what FBC Park Street is and how long it’s been going for
We’re a local church that’s been part of our community since 1831. For 185 years, we’ve been an innovative church and today that means reaching people with video…and we’ve learned the most important part of video is great sound!
What kind of content do you create?
We produce videos and commercials for the church in-house to communicate our mission to the community we live in and always want to help. Instrumental Background Music has allowed us to punch way, way above our weight with high quality music offerings as even poorly shot video looks better with great sound.
What’s been the most ambitious project you’ve worked on?
We took a risk and decided to run a commercial last year for the Olympics. The track we got from here was perfect and the video was finished when I realised that we were going to be moving from internet only to broadcast TV and our licensing would change. I was very concerned with the potential cost, however, the cost was far lower than anticipated which meant everything went smoothly.
What are your short-term and long-term goals with your videos?
We use video to encourage our church family, and remind them how to follow Christ in a busy busy world. Where we want to go from here is impacting our community with high-quality videos that communicate the love for God in a meaningful way to people in Charlottesville and beyond.
